about me

My name is Lydia, I live in the northern half of the state of California, and I am a Scorpio (even though I’m not really sure it fits me).  Born November 20th of 1989 on a Monday.

I am an INFJ to the core, a born Hufflepuff, and a member of House Tully (Family, Duty, Honor, bitches.)

I have an unnatural love for dragons, glasses on other people, and nail polish.

I’m an Art History major at Sacramento State University (transferred as of May 2013) and I really like museums and ranting about Picasso (and Van Gogh, and Degas, and Mucha and Klimt, and the list goes on and on).  ”In art, one must kill one’s father” is quite possibly my favorite quote.  It pretty much sums up everything I love about the Modern Art movement.  But you didn’t come here to discuss art. (And if you did, go send me an ask right now.)

About seventy-five percent of my possessions are books.

I knit (somewhat poorly), write (not as often as I should, and not as well as I want to), and regularly abuse photoshop.

I was raised on JRR Tolkien and Star Trek. My mom likes to say she isn’t a fangirl, but she is. (Just maybe in a different way than I am.)

I like:

art, history, dragons, glasses on people who aren’t me, abusing photoshop, mythology,    ranting about mythology, elephants, music, going to concerts, trees, sea-salt air, rain,    thunderstorms, artists, people who speak other languages, the fake relationship trope,    books, jane austen, letters, getting packages in the mail, long hair, online shopping, magical    types, billie piper, dogs, faeries, urban fantasy, asoiaf, fairy tales, batgirl, mascara, nailpolish,    happy endings to stories, william morris, victorian england, van gogh, paris in the late    1800s, period films of all types, romantic comedies, halloween, arthurian legend, ghosts, red    hair, archery, a good mystery.

I don’t like:

dolls, creepy little kids, public speaking, people, talking on the phone, large bodies of water,    insects, small spaces, doing new things in public, heights, and bridges.
